Warehouse and Yard CCTV Coverage That Holds Up

Guidance only. Verify any statutory or insurer requirement against current official South African sources. CapeCore does not publish unverified legal claims.

Yards are not one camera

A warehouse yard has a vehicle gate, a pedestrian gate, a parking strip, a loading dock and often a dark side passage. Each needs its own view. One PTZ on a pole is not a complete design.

Height vs identification

Cameras on a 12 m eave see a lot of roof and little face. Drop a dedicated camera to pedestrian height at the turnstile or office door. Use higher cameras for vehicle flow and perimeter.

Lighting and forklifts

High-pressure lighting, reversing lights and open roller doors at night confuse cheap sensors. Specify cameras that can handle mixed light, and keep recording through shift changes when yards are busiest.

Combine with perimeter and access

Electric fencing, boom or sliding gates, and access logs make CCTV footage easier to interpret. CapeCore plans industrial CCTV with those layers when the site needs them.
